Tamblyn Celebrates "Girlfriend's Day"

Amber Tamblyn has joined the cast of the comedy "Girlfriend's Day" says a Press Release.

Bob Odenkirk ("The Spectacular Now") wrote the script and stars as Ray, a has-been greeting card writer. In trying to recapture the feelings that once made him the greatest, Ray gets entangled in a web of murder and deceit as writers vie to create the perfect card for a new holiday: Girlfriend's Day.

Tamblyn will play an offbeat "Cardie" (fan of greeting card writers) who becomes a muse to the lead character.

Michael Paul Stephenson ("Best Worst Movie") is set to call the shots and produces with Odenkirk, Lindsay Stephenson and Marc Provissiero.

Production begins in Los Angeles early next year.
