Clive Barker Takes Over "Hellraiser" Remake--Bradley Back!!

Author/filmmaker Clive Barker announced on his Facebook that he is returning to the Hellraiser franchise!!

It seems that he's pitched an idea to Dimension Films for a remake of the original Hellraiser from 1987.The studio suits are jazzed enough by his idea that  they have asked him to move ahead with writing a script. Barker also plans to bring back Doug Bradley, the actor who played Pinhead, for the reboot.

Barker says: "What can I tell you about it? Well, it will not be a film awash with CGI. I remain as passionate about the power of practical make-up effects as I was when I wrote and directed the first HELLRAISER."

The original 1987 film was based upon Barker's own novella titled "The Hellbound Heart" and made a solid $14 million from a $1 million budget.

The film, and subsequent sequels, dealt with a puzzle box that called forth the cenobites (demons from Hell)..
