Rabe Related To A "Pawn Sacrifice"

American Horror Story's Lily Rabe has joined the long in the works Bobby Fischer biopic "Pawn Sacrifice" says Deadline.

Ed Zwick directs the Cold War-set film that stars Tobey Maguire as Fischer, the youngest grand master in the history of chess and a young man prone to unpredictable outbursts. In 1972, he became the first American to reach the finals and engaged in a showdown against the seemingly invincible Soviet master Boris Spassky (Liev Schreiber).

Rabe will play Fischer’s sister Joan,

Peter Sarsgaard will play a priest who became a close confidant of Fischer.

Stephen Knight wrote the script.

Maguire, Zwick and Gail Katz are producing the film.
