Dan Stevens Gets Night at the Museum 3 Role

Former Downton Abbey star Dan Stevens has joined the adventure sequel Night at the Museum 3 at Fox says Deadline.

Star Ben Stiller and director Shawn Levy will reunite for the sequel that follows the further adventures of museum guard Larry Daley (Stiller), who discovered that the exhibits come to life under cover of darkness. Specific plot details for this film were not released.

Robin Williams is in talks to reprise his role as President Theodore Roosevelt. A role he has played in both "Night at the Museum" and "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian".

It's still unclear if  Amy Adams, Bill Hader and Christopher Guest will reprise their roles.

The first "Night at the Museum" was released in 2006 and went on to gross $574 million worldwide. The sequel came along three years later, grossing $413 million.

Production on part 3 begins February 2014 and will take place in Vancouver and London.
