Dan Stevens Works With "The Cobbler"

Variety reports that former Downton Abbey star Dan Stevens has joined writer/director Thomas McCarthy's indie drama "The Cobbler".

The story sees a shoe repair shop owner (Adam Sandler) who has the ability to metaphysically step into the lives of the people whose shoes he repairs.

Details of Stevens's role in the movie are not yet known.

Mary Jane Skalski, who produced McCarthy's The Station Agent, The Visitor, and Win Win, does so again here.

The Cobbler will shoot before McCarthy's Spotlight which chronicles the Catholic church sex abuse scandal.
