Joseph Fiennes Travels To "Strangerland"

Joseph Fiennes will replace Guy Pearce in in the upcoming dramatic thriller, Strangerland says Deadline. The trade did not explain why Pearce dropped out--but he was recently cast opposite  Johnny Depp in the crime biopic Black Mass.

The story revolves around a couple (Fiennes and Nicole Kidman) whose teen kids turn up missing in the Outback. 

Hugo Weaving also stars in the film.

Kim Farrant will call action using a script written by by Fiona Seres and Michael Kinirons.

Naomi Wenck and Macdara Kelleher will produce the film.

Production will begin shortly in Australia.
