Kevin James is set to return as the security guard at a New Jersey mall.
The story shifts to Las Vegas, where Paul and his daughter Maya (Raini Rodriguez) attend a security guard convention. After being constantly mocked by casino security, he helps them bring down a dangerous group of art thieves--led by McDonough.
David Henrie Molly Shannon, Nicholas Turturro and Gary Valentine also star.
James and Nick Bakay, who co-wrote the original, are back to work in the script.
Andy Fickman ("Escape to Witch Mountain," "Parental Guidance") replaces Steve Carr who helmed the original 2009 comedy which became a surprise major hit with a $146 million domestic gross.
James, Todd Garner and Adam Sandler are returning as producers.
Production hopes to begin in April.
