Farscape Gets A Movie!!

Rockne O'Bannon, creator of the sci-fi TV series "Farscape," confirmed over the weekend that a film version of the show is indeed in the works.

The series ran from 1999 to 2003. It was supposed to get five seasons, but only got four. The series ended on a cliffhanger, but co-producer Brian Henson secured the rights to the property and developed and directed a three-hour miniseries to wrap up the story that left fans hanging. It was called Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars.

Back in February came word of the property's potential revival as a film. O'Bannon, who has also co-created the TV shows "Warehouse 13" and "Revolution" broke the news while attending this weekend's WonderCon.

Talking with SpoilerTV  O'Bannon who said: "Yeah, yeah it's the worst kept secret... We're far from production, but yeah, the first step is [Justin Monjo] working on a script for us. We'll keep our fingers crossed."

The movie is rumored to follow John () and Aeryn's () son who grew up on Earth and now, age 19, heads into space with his parents.

As a fan of the show I am excited that the cliffhanger will finally get resolved!
