Ferrell, Reilly And McKay Chart 3rd Film "Border Guards"

Deadline reports that The "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby" and "Step Brothers" trio of Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly and director Adam McKay will reunite for the comedy "Border Guards".

The story has Ferrell and Reilly play two hapless but earnest friends who decide to give purpose to their lives by protecting America's borders from illegal immigrants.In the process they find themselves accidentally stranded in Mexico without identification and must sneak back into the United States.

British TV scribe Jesse Armstrong ("Fresh Meat," "Babylon") wrote the script

McKay is potentially directing the film but it's not a sure thing yet.

Ferrell, McKay, and Kevin Messick are producing.
