Guardians Of The Galaxy Movie Gets Prequel Comic

Although James Gunn's film adaptation of Marvel's "Guardians Of The Galaxy" doesn't open until late summer, the company has just released a tie-in digital comic that sets up some of the events in the film reports CBR

Called "Marvel's Guardians Of The Galaxy Prequel Infinite Comic," the story centers on  Gamora (Zoe Saldana) who heads to a crime-ridden world known as Conjunction on a mission for The Collector (Benicio del Toro).

The project re-teams writers Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning, the duo responsible for the current incarnation of the team .

It's the second such 'enhanced digital comic' setting up an upcoming release following the prelude comic for "Captain America: The Winter Soldier Infinite Comic" that hit in January.

The 'Guardians' prequel is now available at Marvel's comic store and on ComiXology.

The film arrives August 1, 2014.
