The film will star Michael Parks as the Victor Frankenstein-esque doctor of the film while Justin Long will play a guy who goes missing in the backwoods of Canada.
Long spilled the news during an interview with Long Island Newsday
Depp is expected to play a French-Canadian inspector named Guy Lapointe, who investigates the strange case Smith had previously said that he intended a major Hollywood star to play the small but pivotal role.
Haley Joel Osment plays best friend and podcast co-host to Long. He joins forces with his pal's girlfriend (Genesis Rodriguez) to search for him.
