An adaptation of author Michael Hastings' best-selling book the story follows the rise and fall of General Stanley A. McChrystal, (Pitt) who served as the commanding officer of international and U.S. forces in Afghanistan. McChrystal left in disgrace after it was revealed that his staff was critical of President Barack Obama and partying on the battlefield.
Animal Kingdom and The Rover helmer David Michôd has been tapped to write the adapted script from which he will direct.
Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner will produce.
