Singer's Sex Abuse Case-What Happend Last Week

"X-Men Days of Future Past" director  Bryan Singer confirmed that he will NOT take part in of the stump publicity for the sequel--including the upcoming The World Tour event--which he was originally slated to take part in.

Singer was named in a widely publicized sex abuse case as a co-defendant along with Media analyst Garth Ancier TV exec David Neuman and producer-consultant Gary Goddard  where 31 year old Michael Egan alleges that he was drugged and coerced into sex when he was 15 and 16 years old.

Through his lawyer, Singer has denied the allegations and released statement last week regarding not only about the case but "Days"as well:

"The allegations against me are outrageous, vicious and completely false. I do not want these fictitious claims to divert ANY attention from X-Men: Days of Future Past. This fantastic film is a labor of love and one of the greatest experiences of my career. So, out of respect to all of the extraordinary contributions from the incredibly talented actors and crew involved, I've decided not to participate in the upcoming media events for the film. However, I promise when this situation is over, the facts will show this to be the sick twisted shake down it is. I want to thank fans, friends and family for all their amazing and overwhelming support."'

This has all sounded like as Singer calls it a "Shakedown" to me. THR reported that accuser's lawyer was  suspended for 'Conduct Involving Dishonesty'

The other defendants deny allegations as well and plan to fight the suit in court
