DC Comics Films: Momoa Is Aquaman & Justice League Charaters

Jason Momoa has been cast as Aquaman in both  Zack Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice " and "Justice League" reports Hitfix.

Momoa has been linked to Warner Bros' upcoming DC Entertainment plans for a long time but he's been suggested for numerous other roles like Doomsday or Metallo alien hero Martian Manhunter who also happens to like Oreo Cookies. The imposing actor has been asked about the talk several times but has always denied that he's up for a role.

Snyder has already finalized his designs for the character so shooting can take place soon. The character will cameo in 'Dawn' ahead of a larger appearance in 'League'.

The fallout of Superman's (Henry Cavill) battle with Zod (Michael Shannon) in "Man Of Steel" and the resulting collateral damage to Metropolis will seemingly play a big part in DOJ. It's likely what draws Batman (Ben Affleck) to Metropolis ,and it's what causes Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) to paint Superman as a bad guy and the impact the World Engine had on the Indian Ocean draws out Aquaman.

Meantime more rumors continue to swirl over what other DC characters may appear in DOJ and 'League" aside from are Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) Aquaman and Cyborg (Ray Fisher). We may even see The Flash and Green Lantern cameo in 'Dawn', to set up  their part in "Justice League"

TheWrap's Jeff Sneider announced via Twitter that he discovered an "agency grid" that indicated  two open roles in the "Justice League"- Martian Manhunter and Maxwell Lord. He also suggests that Darkseid will be the film's villain.

In the comics, Lord is a businessman who instrumental in forming the Justice League. Darkseid is a cruel, tyrannical alien ruler who seeks out the anti-life equation which would allow him to eliminate all free will from the universe.
