Gyllenhaal would portray a young investment banker whose life collapses following the tragic death of his wife. Tearing apart what little he has left trying to figure out where he went wrong, he is rescued by a woman he meets during a chance encounter.
Dallas Buyers Club director Jean-Marc Vallée will call action on the pic from a screenplay written by Bryan Sipe (Alpha Mail).
John Malkovich, Lianne Halfon Thad, Trent Luckinbill Molly Smith and Russell Smith will produce the pic.
Gyllenhaal is currently training for the boxing film “Southpaw,” which goes into production next month
