The story sees Shirley MacLaine and Jessica Lange star as two friends who go on a wild road trip after mistakenly receiving a multi-million dollar check.
Walsh will be playing a griffter named Forbes.
Demi Moore stepped in to replace Sarah Jessica Parker in the film earlier this month. Judd Hirsch and Billy Connolly also star.
Gary Kanew and Claudia Myers wrote the initial script with revisions by Kenneth Lonergan, from which Andy Tennant will direct.
Blythe Frank and Kip Konwiser will produce the film.
