Wahlberg And Ferrell Proclaim "Daddy's Home"

Deadline reports that "The Other Guys" co-stars Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell are in talks to reunite for the comedy "Daddy's Home".

Ferrell and Vince Vaughn were slated to star last year at a time when Etan Cohen was set to direct. That version collapsed...

 Wahlberg has now stepped in to replace Vaughn as a freeloading man who learns his ex-wife re-married an uptight radio executive (Ferrell). He wants to be the best stepfather in the world, so when the real father returns to town it causes the two men to compete for the children's affection.

Sean Anders and John Morris are now in talks to direct from a screenplay by Brian Burns, Chris Henchy, Adam McKay and Cohen.

Ferrell, Adam McKay, Joseph Drake, Nathan Kahane, Matt Leonetti and Spencer Wong are producing the film.
