William H. Macy Targets "Blood Father"

William H. Macy has confirmed on Twitter that he has joined the "Taken"-esque action-thriller "Blood Father".

The film follows an ex-con (Mel Gibson) who tries to protect his estranged and troubled 16-year-old daughter (True Detective's Erin Moriarty) from drug dealers trying to kill her.

 Macy's role is unknown role in the film, which also stars American Hustle's Elisabeth Röhm.

Peter Craig ("The Town") wrote the screenplay, from which  Jean-François Richet's calling action.

Chris Briggs is producing the pic.
