Gary Oldman Opines About "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice"

Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy set the bar quite high for anyone else who puts Bruce Wayne/Batman's world on screen from here on out.

Nolan's films succeeded giving the character a very grounded modern setting to work in..Fox Broadcasting's fantastic looking new Fall TV Series prequel Gotham is going for a stylized 1970s cop drama style prequel. Zack Snyder's upcoming Superman/Batman team-up film called "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will reportedly is going for the tone of Frank Miller’s 1980s ground-breaking mini-series The Dark Knight Returns.

Out on the stump for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes Gary Oldman, who played Commissioner Jim Gordon in the Nolan trilogy, was asked by Yahoo UK  what he  thought about the notion of DOJ:

"They want to keep it going. Of course they do. But, it's Superman yeah? Batman and Superman together? We shall see. The thing about Nolan, there was some grounding of reality to it. In our trilogy, and as fantastical and as big as The Joker was, it was based [on reality]… we could relate to it. But now we've got a Batman and we've got a guy who can fly who's an alien?! We'll have to see…It's got big shoes to fill."
