The story follows one of the last remaining witch hunters (Vin Diesel) on his latest mission - wandering the streets of modern New York City forced to partner with his natural enemy, a female witch ("Game of Thrones" actress Rose Leslie). The two must stop a villainous witch queen from obtaining a relic and unleashing plague upon humanity.
No details have been revealed for Wood's character.
Sir Michael Caine also stars.
The screenplay was originally penned by Cory Goodman and has since had revisions by D.W. Harper and a polish by Melisa Wallack from which Breck Eisner is gonna call action.
Previously "Wanted" director Timur Bekmambetov was attached to direct and produce but he's no longer a part of the pic.
Diesel, Mark Canton and Bernie Goldmann will produce.
Production looks to start in Pittsburgh later this month.
