Kate Beckinsale will play a mother who moves her family to a colonial mansion in the country. She begins to lose her sanity as she learns of the home's bloody past and sees visions of a dead girl.
Till will play a mysterious carpenter who works on the family's home in what is being described as a flashy role.
"Prison Break" actor turned "Stoker" scribe Wentworth Miller wrote the script from which D.J. Caruso will direct. The film is inspired by a true event. Caruso did a rewrite on the script.
Geyer Kosinski will produce the film.
Production is due to begin on Sept. 8 in North Carolina.
