RIP Richard Attenborough (1923 – 2014)

British actor and film director Richard Attenborough passed away on Sunday at the age of 90.


Lord Attenborough had been in a nursing home with his wife for a number of years and had been in a wheelchair since falling down stairs six years ago.

Attenborough's career that spanned six decades. As actor he's best remembered for the likes of "The Great Escape," "Jurassic Park," "Brighton Rock," "Flight of the Phoenix," the '94 remake of "Miracle on 34th Street," "Elizabeth" and "Doctor Dolittle".

As a director his most well-known works included the Oscar-winning biopic "Gandhi," "Chaplin," " Cry Freedom," 1978's Magic, an underrated gem starring Anthony Hopkins "Shadowlands" and "A Chorus Line".
