Bryan Bertino Keeps Quite Busy

Variety reports that Screen Gems has purchased Mike Scannell’s spec script for the horror-thriller “Scarecrow”.


Set at a remote lake house, the story revolves around a mother and her two young daughters who must fight for survival after falling into a terrifying and bizarre nightmare conceived by a psychopath.

Bryan Bertino, who directed 2008’s “The Strangers,” and Adrienne Biddle are producing the pic.

Bertino wrote and directed “Mockingbird,” which he also produced with Biddle. That film will be released Oct. 6th.

Bertino is currently in pre-production on “There Are Monsters” he is directing that film using his own script. He is also developing supernatural horror movie “February
