"Godzilla" Writer Returns For Sequel

Warner Bros and Legendary Pictures have inked  a deal with "Godzilla" reboot scribe Max Borenstein to write the screenplay for Godzilla 2 says Deadline.

Gareth Edwards is back as the director on the follow-up which has been set for a June 8th 2018 release.
 
Borenstein also wrote the King Kong reboot "Skull Island" with  "Thor" star Tom Hiddleston that has "The Kings of Summer" director Jordan Vogt-Roberts is directing.

Since these flicks are under the same banner with the same writer, it is highly probable that we'll see some giant monster crossover down the line.

Borenstein is also involved in the upcoming "Minority Report" TV series being developed.
