Over 70 million copies of the various games in Polyphony Digital' series have been sold worldwide since the series began in 1997. It marks the highest selling video game franchise under the PlayStation® brand.
Watchmen scribe Alex Tse penned the original draft, but it is unknown if Kosinski will use it or more likely get a whole new one done. Story details are unknown at this time.
