According to a report late Tuesday on the New York Times website, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is expected to announce today that Jon Stewart (pictured) will host the The 80th Annual Academy Awards.This would be Stewart's second date with Oscar; he also hosted the ceremony in 2006. Ellen DeGeneres hosted this year's event.
The Academy Awards, which Gil Cates will produce, is scheduled for Feb. 24 2008 at the Kodak Theatre. in Los Angeles ABC will televise
Update: It's been confirmed--The host of TV's The Daily Show will tackle Oscar night a second time...
Considering that I thought Stewart didn't do all that great his first time out--I can only hope this time will be better...
