Robin Williams is in talks to join in on the political biopic "The Prince of Providence" says The Hollywood Reporter.
The script is by David Mamet and adapted from the 2003 book about Mayor "Buddy" Cianci.
Vincent Cianci dominated Providence's political infrastructure for 21 years. The drama chronicles the career of the charismatic and corrupt civil servant.
Oliver Platt has the title role.
Michael Corrente calls action will direct and production is set to begin late this summer in Rhode Island.
The film reunites Mamet and Corrente who worked on 96's American Buffalo...I just hope it's better than Williams last political flick Man of the Year... Yikes!!
