All About The Benjamin's

Nicole Sperling of Entertainment Weekly has written an article explaining what might have happened between actor Terrence Howard and the producers of Iron Man 2--causing him to be replaced by Don Cheadle...

Some sources say the change was due to Howard's difficult behavior on the set of the first flick.

It seems Jon Favreau had to cut and reshoot many of his scenes during production.

Others claim that switch was all about money.

Howard was the first actor signed to the film and the highest paid - and so when the film came together it was too late to renegotiate his deal.

So when Favreau and Justin Theroux sat down to flesh out the sequel, the Rhodes character had been minimized and so the studio went to the actor's agents with a new, drastically reduced offer...but one matching the offer that supporting cast members were paid for the first movie--an estimated 50-80 percent pay cut from Howard's paycheck for the first film--and the new amount rejected.

It's pretty amazing to think that Howard got more moolah on #1 than headliner Robert Downey Jr....
