Oliver Stone will develop and could direct the thriller "Travis McGee" says Variety.
Author John D. MacDonald's character is a beach bum and scrappy private dick who lives on a houseboat in Florida and takes random cases.
The film will be written by Dana Stevens and, is based on the first bookin the series "The Deep Blue Goodbye" which has McGee looking for missing World War II treasure.
Leonardo DiCaprio, Peter Chernin, Amy Robinson and Jennifer Davisson Killoran are set to produce.
Di Caprio was previously attached to star, no word if that's still part of the plan
