Peter Sollet ("Nick And Norah's Infinite Playlist) and Joss Whedon seem to be the top contenders to direct the comic book film adaptation Runaways says Deadline New York and The Playlist.
The story crafted by Brian K. Vaughan is described as The Breakfast Club with superheroes...It follows a group of teens who learn their parents are supervillains. They soon team up making their own rather dysfunctional family all by themselves.
Whedon seems the logical choice here as he has written for the comic
Joss is also said to be on the list to possibly helm The Avengers
