Diamond In The Sky

Robert Luketic is set to call action the diamond heist film, Brilliant reports Variety.

Written by Gillian Gorfil and Elizabeth Shorten, the film revolves around a small-time criminal who joins accomplished thieves in a diamond heist.

The long gestating project has been around for 3 years, with Matthew McConaughey, Scarlett Johansson and Michael Caine attached. Casting is about to begin. No start date has been set though.

Brilliant comes to theaters in 2012. 

With Killers, The Ugly Truth and Monster-In-Law on his resume Luketic needs a hit and fast. Hopefully he can make this one work ala the way he did with 21
