Peter Farrelly and Bobby Farrelly want to cast Johnny Knoxville as Moe Howard in their movie update of The Three Stooges reports Variety.
Knoxville is said to be interested in the coveted comic role which the Farrelly brothers want to lock down first before finalising casting for the other two key roles of Larry Fine and Curly Howard.
The Farellys are just waiting for Knoxville to officially accept the part--negotiations have not formally begun.
Knoxville's name was first linked to the 'Stooges' film in January.
