John Travolta and Uma Thurman will reunite while the previously linked Blake Lively is confirmed for Oliver Stone's "Savages" reports Deadline.
Based on author Don Winslow's book the story follows two best friend pot growers (Aaron Johnson, Taylor Kitsch) in Laguna who share a trippy girl named Ophelia. The duo are so good at their job that an enforcer (Benicio Del Toro) demands they work for his boss, a Mexican drug cartel matriarch (possibly Salma Hayek).
Travolta will play Dennis, a burned out DEA agent, while Thurman will play Ophelia’s mom Paqu. The film brings Travolta and Thurman together for the first time since they worked on "Be Cool" in 2005. Of course, they also danced together is Quentin Tarantino's "Pulp Fiction."
Shane Salerno and Winslow wrote the script.
Shooting kicks off in June.
