Prom 2 Plans Are Being Made

The teen family film Prom hits theaters next week; And screenwriter Katie Wech has already been charged by Disney to pen a possible sequel says The Hollywood Reporter.

The idea is to get the ball rolling so that, in the event Prom is a hit with audiences, Disney will have a sequel ready to go at the same time next year

The trade implies the next pic could follow the underclassmen from the first movie as they become seniors

Aimee Teegarden, Thomas McDonell,  Nicholas Braun, Raini Rodriguez, Janelle Ortiz, Joe Adler, Yin Chang, Jared Kusnitz, Nolan Sotillo, Danielle Campbell, Cameron Monaghan, Devaughn Nixon, and Kylie Bunbury star in the first one.
