Limited Recall

Another pivotal casting decision has been made on the upcoming Total Recall remake. Variety reports that Jessica Biel, has now landed one of the lead female roles. But which one?

The film will be a new adaptation of the sci-fi saga based on the Philip K. Dick story "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale"--and bares little similarity with Paul Verhoeven's 1990 original pic.

Colin Farrell is all set to play Douglas Quaid who begins to think he’s a spy, but he doesn’t know whether it’s for Euromerica or New Shanghai - one of the two superpower countries in this world.

Biel was said to be reading for the part of Melina, a love interest role said to be substantially different from that of Rachel Ticotin's incarnation of character in the original. Still it's unclear if that's the role she's locked.

At last reoprt Kate Bosworth (Superman Returns) and Diane Kruger (Inglourious Basterds) were said to be up for the role of Lori played by Sharon Stone the first time around

Bryan Cranston co-stars as Euromerica leader Vilos Cohaagen who plots to invade New Shanghai.

Shooting kicks off in May 15th with Len Wiseman calling the shots from a script by Kurt Wimmer. Neal Moritz is producing.  The film is set to open on August 3, 2012.--AND is NOT going 3-D!!!
