Love it or hate it, The Twilight Saga has sparked the careers of many young stars. Indie darling Kristen Stewart became an A-lister; the then-unknown Robert Pattinson hit instant celebrity; and Taylor Lautner’s abs became nearly iconic.
But what about the supporting players? Sure, Anna Kendrick earned an Oscar nomination, but who else in the film will have such luck.
While it’s probably won’t lead to Oscar nomination glory, MTV’s Hollywood Crush blog reports that Christian Serratos will star in the romantic comedy Lip Service. Living up to the film’s name, Serratos will play Roxie, a young vocalist who provides vocals for a vocally challenged celebrity’s song. Of course, she falls in love with the record executive who put her up to it; that role will be filled by Soul Surfer’s Ross Thomas.
Though I can’t say that I care for the films in The Twilight Saga, I’ll admit to liking (most of) the performances, and Serratos does just fine with her limited role. It’ll be interesting to see where her career takes off from here.
How do you feel about this film?
