Finders Keepers

Jason Patric (pictured right) and Thomas Dekker (TV's "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles") are joining the cast of the drama "My Sister's Keeper", accotding to a story in Reuters.

Directed by Nick Cassavetes (Alpha Dog) the film is an adaptation of novel by Jodi Picoult of the sme name.

It tells the tale of a former district attorney (Cameron Diaz) and her fireman husband (Patric) who are sued by their 13-year-old daughter (Abigail Breslin) for emancipation. She was conceived and underwent several operations to help save her ill older sister (Sofia Vassilieva) who's battling Cancer.

Dekker (pictured left) is going to play the older sister's boyfriend and a fellow cancer survivor.

It's nice to see Patric doing a more mainstream project. Indies are fine of course but ya can't do them forever.

As for Dekker, his star continues to rise fast. I just hope he has a "Terminator" TV series to go back to-once filming wraps on "Keeper"!

Production is currently underway in Los Angeles.
