Labor Pains

Emily Brookes of C21 Media updates the strike negotiations...

The Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers AMPTP) wrapped negotiations on Friday, but only for the weekend rather than for good, as was originally scheduled.

Fellow US performers' union The American Federation of Film, Television & Radio Artists (
AFTRA) agreed to postpone its start-date for negotiations - originally set for today - by a week, following a request from the AMPTP.

"We made our request because we owe it to our entire industry to give the current SAG-AMPTP talks every opportunity to result in an agreement," the Association said in a statement. "At this time there remain significant gaps between the two parties, and we hope to use the extra time to narrow these gaps."

SAG's week to decide What will happen...??? Stay Tuned...
