Being Bad

Variety says Val Kilmer and the rapper Xzibit have joined the cast for the update of the 1992 cult flick "Bad Lieutenant ".

The original from'92 followed the exploits of a corrupt policeman (Harvey Keitel) investigating the rape of a nun.

In the remake Nicolas Cage plays the cop while Kilmer will play his partner.

Xzibit is playing a nemesis named Big Fade, in the new version.

If only Kilmer had the Cage role--I would be much more keen on the retread...
