The Flash Gordon update has found its writers:Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless have been charged to write the script for the new film version of the classic character according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The original story stays mostly intact: A young polo player who is kidnapped and taken to the distant planet Mongo, where he and companions Dale Arden and Hans Zarkov find themselves fighting a ruler named Ming the Merciless.
Breck Eisner is lined up to direct the project.
I like the camp classic of 1980 a lot--But I am more than ready to give this new team a chance to "wow" me....
