Quick And Easy Path-Will This Not Be

George Lucas tells Newsweek Magazine that those promised 3D versions of the 6 live action "Star Wars " films are gonna take a bit to reach the cineplex.

"We worked on some, with a company that was developing the technology a few years ago to convert films into 3-D, we worked with them. But the system works great. It's just not very practical."

Fear not though - "What we've been working on since then is to develop a sort of practical way to do it. And we will get there. It's just a technological challenge."

No doubt...But I know that Lucas will have the saga reasy for 3-D by the time it reaches its 35th anniversary 4 years from now (if not by 2011).



Until then--the CGI animated film Star Wars: Clone Wars hits theaters this Friday...
