Farrell stars as a South London criminal who was just released from prison and tries to turn his life around by becoming a handyman for a reclusive actress (Knightley).
Award winner William Monahan for his script The Departed. makes his directorial debut on the film . He also adapted Ken Bruen's book of the same name.-itself inspired by the 1950 Billy Wilder classic Sunset Boulevard.
What an intriging team...Farrell's image as a bad boy should serve the flick quite well.
Shooting is slated to begin this summer.
