Martin Campbell is in negotiations to direct the DC Comics Green Lantern comic book flick reports Variety.Greg Berlanti was previously attached to direct before leaving the project for "This Is Where I Leave You", wrote the GL script with Marc Guggenheim and Michael Green,will stay on as a producer.
Campbell, recently wrapped up work on the Mel Gibson -led thriller "Edge of Darkness" - a remake of the 80's British mini-series of the same name in which he also called action
No offense to the talents of Berlanti but Campbell is a far better choice here. With actioners GoldenEye, and Casino Royale under his belt--I feel better about the whole thing--GL is a long way from episodic tv dramas like "Everwood" and Eli Stone
