Another rumour turns into reality..The Los Angeles Times has confirmed that Zac Efron has signed on the dotted line to play the lead in the planned live-action version of popular '60s Hanna-Barbera cartoon "Jonny Quest".
The suits at the studio are said to also.be considering a name change of the property to avoid any and all possible negative comparisons to the big budget flop "Speed Racer"
I ask why? Speed Quest--what's to confuse really?
The character's already gonna change to accommodate Efron's age--Brand name recognition is key here is it not?
Dan Mazeau is writing the script for the new adaptation.
Director Andy Fickman and star Dwayne Johnson are said to be attached to the flick
Fickman got a full plate--he's been set to direct the female-centric comedy "You Again" as per Variety late last week.
