Production is set to kick off in March for
The Thing prequel based on the
John Carpenter 1982 cult classic says
Production Weekly.
The story will deal with the initial dredging up out of the ice of the shape-shifting alien life form by researchers at a Norwegian Antarctic facility.
Matthijs van Heijningen Jr. calls the shots on the new new film from a script by
Ronald D. Moore which was then rewritten by
Eric Heisserer (who also penned the upcoming
A Nightmare on Elm Street remake).
Shooting runs from March till June in Toronto.
