The ab-master is set to star opposite Tom Cruise in the thriller Northern Lights says Deadline Hollywood.
The story follows a gifted, young, aerobatics pilot (Lautner) who faces off with his controlling, billionaire father (Cruise) and falls in love with a gifted, female pilot.
John Moore ("Max Payne," "Behind Enemy Lines") directs the project which David Ellison will produce. The Top Gun sounding pic begins filming April 1st.
The deal is said to be worth $7.5 million, making Lautner the highest paid teenage actor in Hollywood.
Does that make him a bigger star than say Robert Pattinson?
