Symbolism

Author Dan Brown's latest Robert Langdon novel The Lost Symbol will be turned into a feature film says Variety.

The Lost Symbol movie will be adapted by Oscar-nominated writer Steven Knight (“Dirty Pretty Things” he also wrote drafts of Martin Scorsese’s upcoming pic Shutter Island)

Tom Hanks is expected to reprise his role as Langdon who, in this latest tale, is summoned to Washington to decode the symbols of the Freemasons.

The 2003 movie adaptation of The Da Vinci Code made $758 million worldwide, while follow-up film Angels & Demons (which Brown had actually written first) made a considerably lower $486 million.

There's no word yet on whether director Ron Howard will return to helm the 3rd pic in the series.

Brian Grazer and John Calley will produce.

Meh At least in this case The first 2 movies have been inferior to the books.
