Andy Serkis will be working his motion capture magic-ala The Lord Of The Rings films and the King Kong remake-- for the prequel "Rise of the Apes " Fox revealed the news on their Twitter page, saying Serkis will play the lead ape Caesar--who leads a simian insurrection against humanity.
Serkis joins a cast that includes James Franco, Freida Pinto and John Lithgow.
Shooting kicks off shortly under the helm of Rupert Wyatt for release next Summer.
