Heaven Sent

As regular readers know--I generally hate the idea of remakes But like Hollywood's obsesion with 3-D the pratice is likely to continue no matter how much I moan and grown about it

However news from Deadline. that producer Jerry Weintraub has pitched a remake of 1977 comedy classic starring the great George Burns-- Oh, God! actually made me smile....

The Reason?

Betty White as the title character, while Paul Rudd (not a bad choice either!!) was pitched for the role of the hapless mortal which John Denver played in the original.

Weintraub produced the original and is coming off the success of doing the same thing for this summer's The Karate Kid and its 1984 fore bearer

Hoping This Happens!
