Madsen Matters; Rohm Abducted

Thanks to some matters requiring my personal attention posts have been very light today...Fortunately for me Garth Franklin of Dark Horizons has been tracking some of today's casting news...



Virgina Madsen is set to play the mother of Amanda Seyfried's titular character in Catherine Hardwicke's "Red Riding Hood", a supernatural thriller remake of the Grimm fairy tale reports Variety.

Lukas Haas, Shiloh Fernandez, Julie Christie and Gary Oldman also star in the story of a village haunted by a werewolf. David Leslie Johnson ("Orphan") penned the script.

Abduction

Elisabeth Röhm ("Heroes") will play the biological mother of Taylor Lautner's character in the thriller "Abduction" about a teen who discovers his parents aren't who they claim to be reports Risky Biz Blog.

Emily Mortimer had previously been tapped to star in the role. Sigourney Weaver and Maria Bello also star. John Singleton directs from a script by Jeffrey Nachmanoff and Shawn Christensen....
